Nothing GNU

Same Soil. Different Label. Still Honesty in a Glass.

They call it a "New Dawn." A "Government of National Unity" designed to bring us all to the table. But those who work the vines know that while the politicians shuffle their chairs and rebrand the same old compromises, the soil doesn’t care about the spin.

Nothing GNU is our 2022 Red Blend, bottled for a time when the only thing more complex than the politics is the juice in the glass. It’s a coalition of varietals that shouldn’t necessarily agree, yet somehow find a way to coexist in a state of balanced tension. It’s not a revolution; it’s just the reality of the Republic—aged for two years and poured without the PR filter.

The Coalition (The Blend)

In a world of shifting alliances, we’ve built a cabinet that actually works:

50% Shiraz: The bold, spicy majority. It provides the heat and the resilience required to survive in the South African sun. It refuses to be diluted.

30% Merlot: The diplomat. Bringing a soft, fleshy middle to the arrangement, smoothing over the rough edges of the coalition and making the whole thing palatable.

15% Cabernet Sauvignon: The structure. This is the "Constitution" of the bottle—providing the tannin and backbone to ensure the blend doesn't fall apart under pressure.

5% Viognier: A floral, fragrant whisper of white. Just enough to keep the reds honest and lift the aromatics of the entire collective.

Product Details Vintage: 2022

Production: Strictly limited to 400 bottles.

Origin: Grapes, South Africa. (Because the wine is the point, not the bureaucracy.)

There is nothing "GNU" under the sun—just the same honest struggle for balance, one glass at a time.
